Swapna Sidri’s Concert for New Bangladesh held in the capital

A discussion meeting and cultural program titled ‘Concert for New Bangladesh’ was held at the Central Kachikanchar Mela Auditorium in Segunbagicha in the capital today (December 9, 2025) at 3 pm, organized by the national cultural organization Swapna Sidri.

Eminent cultural personality and Chairman of Delight Air Aviation Maulana Muhammad Nesar Uddin was present as the chief guest. In his speech, he said that today the country has become flooded with Western culture. Islamic cultural workers must be vigilant to prevent subculture. He advised to move forward on the path of cultural revolution through the combined efforts of spirituality and jihad.

In their speeches, the special guests of the program remembered the legendary artist late Ainuddin Al Azad and poet Matiur Rahman Mallick. They also highlighted the contribution of cultural workers in the revolution of 1924.

The event was chaired by Humayun Kabir Shabib, director of Swapna Sidri, and special guests included ISAZ president Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, RAJUK official Aminul Islam Talukder, Studio Talha director Mohiuddin Mohi, Chhatra Seba Brand chairman Tanvir Hossain Mahmudi, and Al Kareem Air Aviation chairman Alhaj Abdul Karim.

Poet and monthly Naqib editor Ziaul Ashraf, young scholar and lyricist Tauhidul Islam Taiyib, entrepreneur and organizer KM Shariatullah, and activist MM Shoaib delivered important speeches on the subject.

Prominent artists included Shahjazan Siraj, Kazi Aminul Islam, Gazi Anas Rawshan, Yasin Haider, Ilyas Hasan, and Raihan Farooq.

Directors and artists of more than a hundred cultural organizations from Dhaka, Chittagong, Rangpur, Sylhet, Barisal, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions attended the event. Since morning, the Segunbagicha area was bustling with artists. As the day progressed, the presence of artists also increased. The seats in the hall were filled to the brim before the scheduled time.

The cultural organizations attended and agreed to a united cultural movement in the future.

Under the joint management of Swapna Sidri’s Executive Director Saif Muhammad Salman and Joint Executive Director Muhibullah, directors of cultural organizations from all over the country also spoke.
