Towhid Hossain said, Bangladesh is keen to work together with China for the purpose of peace, prosperity and development. This year, our bilateral relations have been upgraded to a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. This new partnership between Bangladesh and China is built on trust, mutual respect and a common vision of a bright future.

Bangladesh and China will work together in the era of global challenges, said the foreign affairs advisor. He said, Myanmar is needed for uninterrupted connectivity between the two countries. An uninterrupted connectivity between Bangladesh and China is needed and the most effective route passes through Myanmar.

Towhid Hossain said, we hope for the return of a peaceful and stable Myanmar, including the return of Rohingya refugees to Rakhine State with rights and security. So that this connection can be established for the mutual benefit of our people. This will go a long way in promoting economic growth, reducing poverty and increasing cultural exchanges.

The only solution is to send the Rohingyas back to Myanmar. Bangladesh expects a more sincere and active role from China in this matter, added the advisor.

Azizul Islam (Hatibandha Lalmonirhat Correspondent) :

This special model test has been organized due to the closure of students’ classes during the anti-discrimination student movement. Students participated in this test with enthusiasm.

The students said that after hearing about this model test, we started to feel excited. We have never given a board exam before, we do not understand the environment. We have understood the quality of board questions.

This test has removed our fear.

A special model test was held for 2025 SSC and Dakhil examinees.

Students from 11 educational institutions participated in the test at this center.

For the first time, a special model test examination has been held at two centers of Hatibandha Upazila, Barakhata High School and Shah Garibullah Secondary Girls High School, with the participation of more than 300 students.

Today, Monday, March 24 and Thursday, March 27, a model test examination was held on 8 subjects over two days.

A multiple-choice examination of 30 marks was held in each subject. And this special model test examination was held on the model of a public examination.

UNO said, we want to build it as a model upazila for education, for that purpose, the students’ speech at the farewell ceremony of each school was that after the July 24 uprising movement this year, we had a shortage of class examinations. To fill that shortage, and to prepare fully for the SSC examination, we have organized this model test examination.

We will organize it better from next year. We have planned to conduct a month-long examination for each subject. So that students of Hatibandha Upazila can get good results in the SSC examination in the future and go to good institutions.

As you know, education is an important investment in the world. If you invest 1 taka in the field of education, you get 4 taka in return. We want to spend labor, talent, and money in the field of education. We have organized the model test exam in the same environment as the SSC examination in the future.

Police and magistrates have been appointed for this exam.

We will select and reward the best 20 people in this model test. In addition, arrangements will be made to give a reception to those who will get good results in the SSC examination this time by the Upazila administration.

If this is implemented, we will see the awakening of students in Hatibandha in the next few years.

Headmaster of Barakhata High School, Jahidul Bari, said, the Upazila Executive Officer has taken this initiative to improve the progress of students, improve their education, and remove their fear of public examinations through this model test. I thank him.

The exam was held in a fair, beautiful and pleasant environment.

  1. Police and administration are on duty at this center, similar to the SSC exam.

Students for Sovereignty demands arrest of ‘indigenous’ people seeking recognition

Published

By

Staff Correspondent :

An organization called the Angry Sovereign Students and People has made three demands, including arresting and bringing to justice those who are seeking recognition as ‘tribals’ and working and propagating this demand, by referring to the word ‘tribals’ as ‘anti-constitutional’ and ‘anti-national’.

These demands were made at a protest rally organized in front of the National Press Club on Thursday (January 23) under the banner of the Angry Sovereign Students and People to protest the ‘sudden attack by separatist tribes and red terrorists on the Students for Sovereignty program’.
At the protest rally, Muhammad Shamsuddin, a student of Shaheed Suhrawardy College and coordinator of the student movement against discrimination, said, “Those who are claiming to be tribals have basically come to this country from different countries. We have allowed them to stay. They are tribals, they are not tribals. There have never been tribals in this country and there will never be any in the future. If they want to make this demand, it will be dialed on a toll-free number.”
Other speakers at the rally said that the recently appointed NCTB revision committee member, Rakhal Raha alias Sajjad, an outsider red terrorist, has included graffiti in the textbooks that are against the constitution and laws of the state and include the separatist term ‘tribal’. Focusing on this, the latent plan of the hill separatist tribes, their sponsors and allies to separate the Chittagong Hill Tracts from the country behind the tribal demands of the hill separatists, their sponsors and allies, the platform of students dedicated to protecting the country, ‘Students for Sovereignty’, has revealed to the countrymen. For this reason, the separatist tribes, their sponsors and allies, the leftist red terrorists, have joined hands to launch massive propaganda and misinformation against ‘Students for Sovereignty’, filed false cases, two well-wishers have been imprisoned, and members of the organization are being harassed, which is very sad and a threat to the sovereignty of the state.
The aggrieved sovereign students and public have raised three demands.
1. The false case filed against Students for Sovereignty should be withdrawn and all its prisoners should be unconditionally released.
2. The main planners and instigators of the violent incidents in Motijheel, the red terror group Rakhal Raha, Alik Mr. and Armanul Haque Gang, should be arrested immediately and brought to justice. At the same time, those who are defending them, especially the anti-national media outlets Dainik Prothom Alo and Daily Star, should be banned.
3. The word ‘tribal’ is an unconstitutional and anti-national word. Everyone who is demanding ‘tribal’ recognition and working and promoting this demand are separatists and their allies. The state should take the initiative and arrest these traitors and bring them to justice.
Also present at the protest rally at that time were Muhammad Russell, co-spokespersons of the aggrieved sovereign student-people, and Muhammad Saidur Rahman.
